Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran DRILL Pada Pendidikan Menengah Kejuruan
Abstract
Innovative learning in vocational education, especially in engineering mechanics, solves student learning outcomes problems by applying the drill method in a lesson. This study aimed to measure the improvement of student learning outcomes using the drill learning method, which was designed to help students better understand the material. This research is a classroom action (PTK). The research subjects were students of class X DPIB 4 SMKN 1 Cirebon. The data technique was carried out by means of observation and test. The validity of the data obtained was tested by an expert judgment for the observation and test instruments. In contrast, the data analysis used descriptive analysis and N-Gain to see whether or not there was an increase in student learning outcomes. Based on the analysis and discussion results, the F-count obtained in this study is 37,25 with a 5% confidence level with a Ftabel of 2,26. It can be denied that the application of drill learning can significantly improve student learning outcomes for class X DPIB 4 in the subjects engineering mechanics SMKN 1 Cirebon. The findings of this study are the application of the training method by looking at the continuity of learning in the class of students. So that with the method, students can more easily understand and solve problems by solving a problem properly and involving students in a more active learning process.

Abstrak
Pembelajaran inovatif pada pendidikan kejuruan, khususnya mata pelajaran mekanika teknik untuk mengatasi masalah hasil belajar siswa salah satunya adalah dengan menerapkan metode drill pada suatu pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran drill yang dirancang untuk membantu siswa dapat lebih memahami materi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas X DPIB 4 SMKN 1 Cirebon. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan tes. Pengujian validitas data yang diperoleh menggunakan expert judgement untuk instrumen observasi dan tes. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan N-Gain untuk melihat adakah peningkatan atau tidak pada hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan, Fhitung yang diperoleh penelitian ini sebesar 37,25 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 5% dengan Ftabel sebesar 2,26, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran drill dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan untuk kelas X DPIB 4 pada mata pelajaran mekanika teknik SMKN 1 Cirebon. Temuan penelitian ini berupa keberhasilan menerapkan metode drill dengan melihat keberlangsungan belajar di kelas siswa merasa senang, semangat, antusias, tidak bosan/jenuh, dan tidak mengantuk. Sehingga dengan metode ini siswa dapat lebih mudah memahami dan menyelesaikan masalah-masalah dengan memecahkan suatu soal dengan baik dan melibatkan siswa pada proses pembelajaran yang lebih aktif.
